  • Started the new job today.  Woke up at 5 am!  The manager is
    pretty nice... whatever I need or want, he does his best to get
    it.  I finally got a pager.  Some people would rather not
    have one, but for me, it makes me feel important. 

    July 4th: Had dinner at Joanne's house then we went to see fireworks,
    but from the car [i.e., I was driving the entire time] since the park
    (Reston/ Lake Fairfax) was too crowded and everyone was already parked
    on the sides of the street.  So the benefit was that we never had
    to walk far nor did we get stuck in traffic. 

    Got a new PSP game, but I was waiting this entire month for "midnight
    club 3."  Decided not to get it based on reviews at
    gamespot.com.  Went to Target, expecting to get Wipeout, but since
    it's hard to find (at least at Target), I ended up getting Metal Gear
    Acid    , which isnt a bad game at all, even though it's card based.

    Still kinda tired from the San Francisco trip, but once I recover, I'll post some pics.

  • they'd better be paying me 6 figures if they're gonna give me a pager, hehe. Post more info about the conference.

  • i was in the vienna/fairfax area watching the fireworks from my gf's dad's new restaurant. the fireworks display was behind them at the high school in the area. i'm not sure of the exact location, but it's called 'china gourmet'. it's 9901 lee highway, i'm not sure if you are in that area. if you do want to try it it is good food, my gf's 5th uncle is the cook there.

  • hey ken, congrats on the new job.  changes in life are good and allows us to experience new things.  oh, frog jumps are just like they sound.  you crouch down, feet are like shoulder width apart as usual, then you swing your arms forward and up and you leap forward.  trying to land softly, your arms come back down and back, as you go back into the crouch position.  then repeat as fast as you can.  they are rough!  i start hearing my knees crackling now when i stretch or crouch down, which is discouraging and scary.  anyway, good luck on your first week at your new job!

  • I haven't bought any PSP games lately, doesn't seem like they have anything great out. I'm waiting for GT4 mobile which won't be out until next year.

    ryc: If that AC guy was a fake, I should be worried since he unlocked to come in. I never knew that they came that early too...unless it's just like that here?

  • i finished metal gear acid....after 70 hrs of playing time after i got it...i thought the same thing when i first got - that it's a card playing game...but it's pretty cool
