My apologies since I'll probably be blogging about Java until Friday.
However, I got to meet Josh Bloch, creator of "Java Puzzlers" and the
author of "Effective Java", as well as the creator of the Collections
framework! I was even sitting next to him during one session and
didn't know it until I saw him open up his Powerbook and his logon name
said jbloch, and I was thinking, what, "why does this guy have the same
name as Josh Bloch?" I finally realized it was him
when I saw him going through his slides on collections.Today they had book signings and I got him to sign the puzzlers book.
So what will I do once the conference is over? Friday -- go to
Fisherman's wharf, Nob Hill, and Lombard St. Saturday -- go to
Japantown and/or chinatown, then leave.
