Just found out from the news that Wachovia bank issued an apology since
its founders (I think; either that or something similar) had
slaves. That's nice, it seems that everyone is apologizing for
the mistreatment of Africans/African-Americans, but you never see that
for Asian-Americans. What about that guy who got killed because
someone thought he was Japanese, and therefore taking away from his job,
building American cars, when in fact, the victim was Chinese?
See, I don't even recall the name because it was "swept under the
carpet" so well.

Vincent Chin.
What about the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII?
What about the Chinese Exclusion Act?
What about Chinese laborers who died building the trans-continental railroad?
Ah someone beat me to it. But yes, that was Vincent Chin. Christine Choy & Renee Tajima did a kick ass documentary on it that I highly recommend ("Who Killed Vincent Chin?").
ryc: according to the IGN article, there might not be any region lock on those UMDs, and the PSP UMD games have no regional encoding or lock on them, but from articles I've read, certain Japanese content might have content lock for only Japanese use, therefore some ppl were warned ahead of time that they might not be able to play US version UMDs because of that..
ryc: btw.. almost every DVD player has a region hack code, you should check to see if yours has one on http://www.videohelp.com
Wachovia is a big place, with rich people. The guy who killed Vindent Chin is a broke redneck who wouldn't know shit about attrition. Same with the dude who shot a junior high Japanese kid in New Orleans, because as an exchange student, he was unfamiliar with English and did not understand the meaning of "Freeze or I'll shoot." All he was doing was walking up to him to ask directions...
cuz a lot (not all, but a lot) of black ppl are whiners, blame their shortcomings on racism, and want 300 years of apologies for their 300 years of suffering. I'd like to think that Asians are better than that. We've faced oppression, but yet we still succeed without having to whine.
Hey Ken, I'm sure you could do the aerials. A tip that I go by, even though everybody has their own way of doing things... is to practice doing cartwheels in one point. That is, put your left foot forward, and when you do a cartwheel, your right foot should end up where your left foot started. Get it? Also, make sure your going forward then to the side. A LOT of people try to do it sideways, and some can, but most will never get it if they keep doing it that way. So it's like your standing straight forward, shoulders square, you bend straight down, and when your about to touch the floor, then you turn to the side. I've written these long things about the aerial many times so if you have any questions, I'd be glad to help! Everybody does it differently, so I can only tell you what I go by.
Hope things are well.
